With the outbreak of COVID-19 in Pakistan, the Government officials lockdowned the country to control the spread of the virus. These closures have also included outpatient departments of all hospitals and private clinics, which led to many citizens experiencing uncertainty and panic about their health.
Khyber Medical University Peshawar and InstaCare collaborated to enable digital healthcare in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. After this collaboration people of KPK will be able to access the quality, certified and authentic doctors through the platform.
With a team of over 300 doctors of almost every speciality, KMU started telehealth services. Now people can avail free of cost online medical checkup whenever and wherever they need.
This initiative benefited a large number of people in remote and far flung areas of the province. It provided easy access to standard and best health facilities at home
InstaCare during the pandemic played a critical role in making Pakistan’s Healthcare Ecosystem accessible through telemedicine. Over 28,000 Patients till date have been served through the platform absolutely free during the pandemic. These patients contained gender and age groups of all kinds and were not limited to KPK but across Pakistan.
This wonderful collaboration not only enabled the digital ecosystem in the healthcare industry of Pakistan especially KPK but also empowered the people of KPK with a tool that can help them get rid of quacks and fake doctors in the region. Not only this, caregivers have now better access to medical services providers to take better care of their family and loved ones.
Moreover, InstaCare provides 16,000 medical professionals in more than 40 cities along with home sampling service for various lab tests. They currently have over 500 clinics, doctors, laboratories, pharmacies, and over 300,000 registered users who can avail their services. All the accessible services are not limited to medical checkups only but the platform also provides medicines and diagnostic services at doorstep.
